The Voice Assistants Continue Without Convincing the Spaniards

89% of citizens have already used a voice assistant, but the percentage drops when asked about the recurrence of use, since only 37% use voice aids "often" in their interactions.

Very curious but not very convinced. That could perfectly be the summary of the attitude that Spanish consumers have regarding voice assistants, such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

This is confirmed by a study conducted by Sngular and VoiceXLab, in which 89% of citizens have already used a voice assistant, but the percentage falls when asked about the recurrence of use, since only 37% use voice aids "often" in their interactions.

In addition, the majority (44%) recognize that they do not use them regularly and 19% say they would like "but that they do not work well".

This year, 25 million virtual assistants will be sold for the home, such as Alexa or Google Home

Why do not we get this type of technology? According to this study, among the main problems observed by users are not being able to maintain a fluent conversation (32%), its lack of usefulness (29%) or that smart assistants are not able to understand them well (26%) ).

However, looking ahead, we all see its potential clear. In fact, 84% believe that voice assistants will soon become one of the main ways in which we interact with technology, compared to 16% who believe that this will not happen.

And, for this, smartphones and tablets (41%), smart speakers (33%) will be the access points to these most common voice assistants. To a lesser extent, respondents think that communication will occur through smart headphones (10%), smartwatches (8 %%), cars (5%), computers (2%) and appliances (1%).
